Al-Mahdi Sponsorship Scheme
Education gives a child the life skills which will support them in the future. Through this scheme, we are breaking the cycle of poverty and changing lives in our own small way by sponsoring children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds across the country.
Since its inception in 2012, Al Mahdi Sponsorship Scheme has seen over 1000 students go through High school and others graduating with Diplomas and Degrees in various Colleges and universities around the country.
Through regular collections and donations from many well-wishers, thousands of children have benefited from this scheme.
We take this opportunity to thank all those who have been there for these children, and pray for your continued support.
AL MUNTAZIR SCHOOL
This is a primary school in a slum area in Nairobi called Riruta Muslim. The students are from very needy families and some are orphans putting up with guardians. Education is their only way out of the slum. Together with Welfare Aid International, we are sponsoring 100 pupils from grade 1-5. Being in school assures them a meal and a snack in a day. And to some, this will be the only meal they will have till the next day when they come to school again.
We require $ 300 in a year to keep one child in school. This covers Uniform, Stationery, Tuition, lunch and Breakfast daily.
Donate and make a child’s dream valid.
RASUL AL AKRAM ACADEMY
This is a boys’ secondary school located in Nairobi. It offers a holistic approach to education that churns out an all rounded individual. The students learn secondary school education integrated with Muslim Religious Studies. We are currently supporting 21 students in this school from disadvantaged backgrounds. To keep one student in school for one year we require $ 750. Donate towards this course.
Students In Other Schools, Universities And Colleges.
We are supporting 21 other students in different primary and Secondary schools, Universities and Colleges across the country. 8 are in Primary schools 7 in High schools, 3 in Tertiary Colleges and 4 in Universities.
We receive over 300 applications in a year from students across the county, but due to limited funds, we live out so many other deserving students.
Donate to enable us assist more.
